Our full 5-tower Cable Tow system is the perfect place to try wakeboarding or knee-boarding, whether you’re chasing your next trick or just want to complete a full lap. With normal and slowspeed sessions, we cater to all levels - beginners, families and experienced riders alike.
If you’re new to wakeboarding or a full-cable system, book our 2-hour Cable Taster Session to get started with confidence. If you usually ride behind a boat, on a System 2 or kite-surf, we also recommend starting with a Taster Session. Experienced cable riders can head straight to our Ride or Day Passes.
The site is fully equipped with free, secure parking, watersports changing rooms with pool-style showers, outdoor changing huts and £1 coin-operated lockers

Our 2-hour coached Taster Sessions run from April-November and are the perfect introduction to cable wakeboarding, helping you progress in a relaxed, supportive environment. Your session includes a board, helmet, buoyancy aid and wetsuit, with expert coaching throughout. Just bring swimwear, a towel and neoprene socks for warmth (if you have them) - or add our Grip Socks to protect your feet from stones & natural surfaces around the lake.
You’ll start with a short group land-lesson before heading onto the water. Most riders begin on a knee-board to get used to the cable’s feel and speed, building confidence at their own pace. When ready, you can progress to an Easy-Up or rental wakeboard, with our coaches supporting you all the way.
After checking in and getting wetsuited up, please be at the briefing area 10 minutes before your session for the group land-lesson (even if you’ve completed a taster before).
Slow Sessions: Available weekends & bank hols (Apr-Oct) from 10am-12pm, plus Mon/Wed/Fri in August 12pm-2pm. Ideal for riders wanting a gentler pace & reduced cable speed.
Experienced rider who can confidently start from the dock and ride a full-size cable independently? This one’s for you!
Choose from 1-hour, 2-hour, or all-day passes to suit your session. Formal coaching isn’t included, but our friendly team are always on hand if you need advice. If you’re new to full-cable riding - including those coming from a boat, System 2, or kite-surfing background - we recommend starting with our 2-hour Cable Taster Session to build confidence on the dock & cable.
Bring your own equipment or add rental kit during booking.
For riders aged 10-16yrs who don’t yet have their own equipment, we can provide a board, buoyancy aid and helmet free with Ride Passes if needed – supporting young riders to stay safe & continue progressing as they build their own setup. Please ask at Reception on arrival. (Not available with Day Passes.)

Available over the Summer Holidays, these slow speed sessions are for 10-16yrs olds and parents who want to join in on the water! A fun, all-inclusive way to try something new this school holidays.
We’re a BWSW Accredited cable wakeboard park with a full 5-tower cable system. Our wake park is packed with features for all abilities, including some unique to Box End Park! We love keeping things fresh — regularly adding new features and hacks to challenge and excite riders. This year, we introduced our Pyramid A-Frame, Tech Rail UNIT, and the first Double Kinked Creeper in the UK!
Mark your calendars for Saturday 12th September 2026! Join us at Box End Park for our unique wakeboarding competition — TAG! Teams of two will battle it out to score points, win awesome prizes, and have a whole load of fun. Open to all riding abilities — even if you’re still learning your first tricks! Entries open later in the year, so start practising your skills and team up with your TAG partner today!
• Pre-booking required: All sessions must be booked via our online booking system.
• Arrival time: Please arrive at least 45 minutes before your session to check-in, get kitted & attend the mandatory safety briefing (5-10 minutes before your session starts)
• Participant requirements: Must be able to swim 50m and be aged 10 years or older.
• You must ensure you have completed a waiver before checking-in for your session. Children aged 6 to 16 yrs old will need to be signed onto the activity by a person aged 17yrs or older.
• Please bring a towel & swimwear with you, as well as grip socks or soft-sole water shoes if you have them! We have Grip Socks available to buy in Reception for £2.50pp - these help protect your feet from stones at the Aqua Park entrance! Optional, but recommended.
• The Cable Tow is an action packed activity. You will fall into the water at speed so make sure you and your group are happy with this before booking!
• Note that we are unable to offer refunds on booked sessions however, if you notify us more than 7 working days before your booking, we can help look at re-scheduling your session or providing a credit.
• In the event of strong wind conditions you may be asked to stay within the bay area of the lake or offered the most suitable alternative activity on the day. In the event of extreme weather, high winds or flooding, Box End Park may need to cancel a session. In the event of this, we will help you re-schedule your booking or provide a return credit.
• Child Supervision Policy
Participants under 17yrs old must be accompanied by a supervising adult (17yrs+) at all times on-site. The adult must remain in the vicinity of the activity in case Box End Park staff need to alert them during a session.
